We're Making Cycling Accessible to Everyone!

We want to make cycling accessible to everybody regardless of ability, which is why we’ve partnered up with e-bike company Van Raam – a forward-thinking Dutch brand which produces unique e-bikes which allow anybody- regardless of ability – to enjoy the freedom of cycling! Van Raam e-bikes include tricycles, scooter bikes, wheelchair bikes, tandem bikes, double rider bikes, and low step through bikes.

Here, we take a closer look at the Chat, a rickshaw bike which is meant to ride together with children and/or adults who are no longer able to participate in traffic on their own. An accompanying person pilots the bike which can carry up to two passengers who are seated next to each other in a specially designed cockpit, where design and ergonomics come together. The pilot sits behind this cockpit and has a view of both the road and passengers.

The Chat, so called because it allows people to sit side by side and enjoy each other’s company, offers a comfortable bike ride through a combination of suspension, correct ergonomics and soft goods. These bikes are great for bringing together old and young alike and offers the elderly the opportunity to enjoy time out in the fresh air, taking in the beauty of their local environment.
